Local East Staffordshire residents are invited to dust off their bikes and make the most of a new programme of free guided bike rides this summer.
British Cycling and Sky, in partnership with East Staffordshire Borough Council, are bringing a series of Sky Ride Local rides to the area, with the next ride being on the 14th July 2013.
Sky Ride Locals are guided by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes. With different levels, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re building your confidence or already comfortable on a bike and looking for a challenge.
Jackie Brennan British Cycling Recreation Manager for West Midlands, said: “Cycling’s never been more popular, and whatever your age or fitness level, it’s easy to get involved. We’re delighted to be working with East Staffordshire Borough Council to make it even easier for local people to get out on their bikes and have some fun this summer”.
Councillor Bernard Peters, Deputy Leader for Service Commissioning, said:
“East Staffordshire Borough Council has been working closely with British Cycling to provide a range of opportunities for cyclists of all abilities to get involved and enjoy the borough and become more active. This is great opportunity for families to join like minded enthusiasts and share in the bike riding experience.”
