Reducing waste and recycling more is once again the theme for this year’s Recycle Week, which kicks off today, Monday, June 16th.
The campaign is entering its eleventh year and it’s an opportunity to celebrate everything about recycling.
Councillor Dennis Fletcher, Deputy Leader for Built Environment, said:
“Once again this year, recycling at “Home and Away” is the message and it is about how making the smallest of changes can have a positive effect on the local environment. It is about taking what we are already doing at home, and that is recycling, and doing that when we are at work and when we are out and about”.
East Staffordshire Borough Council have a number of on street dual recycling and litter bins throughout the local area for residents and visitors to use to recycle their mixed glass, cans, plastics and waxed cartons whilst they are out and about.
