Burton 0n Trent (or Burton Upon Trent to use it’s proper title) is a large town in Staffordshire.
To many, Burton is considered the brewing capital of the UK because it is home to the Coors Brewery (formerly the Bass brewery), Marstons and Burton Bridge Brewery. There are also a number of micro-breweries in the town including the Tower Brewery.
The town has also recently been in the news because The FA’s new National Football Centre (called St George’s Park) is on the outskirts of Burton.
Food and Drink
There is an excellent choice of traditional pubs and modern bars both in the town centre and in the villages around Burton on Trent. Burton Bridge Inn for example is a traditional Burton pub that serves award winning Burton Bridge Beer and has it’s own skittle alley.
There are also lots of superb restaurants in the town. Whether your preference is Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian or just some good old pub grub, you won’t have any problems in finding a good selection of places to eat.
