Today’s severe weather has disrupted the Council’s waste collection service in some parts of Burton on Trent. Despite the snow, the majority of residents received a collection as normal, but our crews were unable to access some of the more outlying areas and a number of other streets that remain untreated.
The areas affected include parts of:

- Stapenhill
Unfortunately this type of severe weather does have an impact on our waste collection service as refuse vehicles are vulnerable to skidding, with the potential to cause considerable damage. Whilst we will make every effort to minimise disruption, the health and safety of our crews and the public in general has to take priority.
We would ask that our residents remain patient and, weather depending, will aim to collect their bins as soon as possible from Monday onwards.
