East Staffordshire Borough Council has published a draft of its new homelessness strategy for consultation.
This is a strategy for preventing homelessness, securing accommodation for homeless people, and securing support for people facing homelessness or who have been homeless.
The strategy has been drafted based on the homelessness review carried out by the Council in consultation with partner organisations.
Councillor Julia Jessel, Deputy Leader for Regulatory Services, said: “We are pleased to publish our draft homelessness strategy for consultation and are keen to hear from residents and stakeholders to inform the final version. We want to ensure we continue to deliver effective services to prevent homelessness and to assist residents.”
The draft strategy and the review document are available on the Council’s website under Consultations. The draft strategy can also be obtained by calling 01283 508149.
Consultation responses are requested by 10th June.
