“Is Cupid Stupid?”
with Roisin Murray and Tales from the Bridge
Once again, Tales from the Bridge bring you a feast of stories to enjoy. For the first half, the floor is open – inviting anyone who wishes to share a story or spin a yarn. Come and tell, or sit back and enjoy the wealth of stories on offer. The second half features local storyteller Roisín Murray who has worked UK wide and overseas. Roisín asks Is Cupid Stupid? with this collection of tales from Scotland to the Arabian Nights. A girl offers kindness to the misfit, with an unexpected result, a merchant keeps his beloved bird caged. A child sacrifices himself to set his mother free and is repaid in an unusual way. So, what is love? It can make people act like fools or heroes, saints or sinners. Give yourself an early Valentine’s treat with candlelight and cake. Bring someone special or make some new friends.
