Fri 12th March – Friends of the Burton Wurlitzer at Burton Town Hall

Feb 12th, 2010 | By | Category: Burton Town Hall, Whats On

FRIENDS OF THE BURTON WURLITZER

Our first concert of the season is on Friday March 12th 2010 at 2pm (doors open at 1.30pm) Arthur Tipper, our Musical director, is the Organist and he is also bringing along the “Singing for pleasure Choir”.

There are several innovations at this concert.  Firstly, we shall be using for the first time at one of our concerts the piano sound that has been recently installed.

Secondly, we shall be having a raffle at the interval just to add a bit more fun. We are grateful to Boots at Cooper Square for donating the prizes.

Thirdly we shall be having a video screen running that will enable the audience to watch what the organist is doing at the console.

We are trying hard to contact all the care homes in the area and the Warden Aided accommodation. If any care home or Warden Aided accommodation  has not had an invitation to apply for complimentary tickets then they can apply by calling 0115 7149663.

All are welcome to come to the concert and tickets (£4) are available at the door for those who do not qualify for complimentary tickets.
