Thurs 4th February – Comedy Night at 99 Station Street
Jan 4th, 2010 | By Editor | Category: Comedy, Whats OnA LUCKY Burton audience is in for a treat when one-liner wonder Gareth Richards takes to the stage.
He will appear on February 4 to headline Funhouse Comedy’s latest offering at award-winning venue, 99 Station Street.
Gareth’s style of observational and quick-witted comedy has seen him rise to the top on the stand-up circuit.
A regular on Frank Skinner’s Absolute Radio Show on Saturday mornings, he has been nominated for truckloads of awards, including the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2008.
He also appeared in the Comedy Zone at the Edinburgh Festival last year – the Fringe’s longest-running stand-up showcase.
Also on stage is cult comic Mike Gunn. Described by the Independent on Sunday as ‘one of the 10 leading stand-ups in Britain, it’s no surprise that Mike’s particular brand of dry, sardonic comedy is a hit with audiences everywhere.
Compering is Pete Smith who will entertain the audience with his comedy story-telling.
Tickets are £17.95 in advance, including a meal.
Doors: 7pm. Last orders for food at 8pm and show starts at 8.30pm.
