St. Mary's church, Tutbury, construction sponsored by Henry de Ferriers, ancestor of the de Ferrers earls of Derby, and ancestor of the author of this image. Henry de Ferriers and wife Bertha granted the land and sponsored the Church of St. Mary’s in Tutbury, adjacent to the castle. There is a modern plaque in the church but no visible burial/effigy. tutbury 16th Annual Open Gardens

tutbury Village Open Gardens - £3.00 per visitor, accompanied children free of charge. No Dogs Please. All proceeds to the Priory Church of St. Mary. Start: 12.00 Noon.
