Half Term Sports Activities for Burton Kids
Kids Get Sporty for Spring Break
Children across Burton upon Trent and East Staffordshire will be encouraged to have a healthier half term this May as the Council organises a range of free sporting sessions.
East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Sports Development team will be touring round Burton and Uttoxeter between Tuesday, May 27th and Friday, May 30th with their Sport in the Hood and School’s Out initiatives.
All the sessions are free and run by qualified sports leaders who have had an enhanced criminal record bureau check.
Councillor Philip Atkins, Deputy Leader for Health and Leisure, said: “East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Sports Development team will be reaching out to as many children as possible across East Staffordshire throughout the half term holiday to offer them the opportunity of a wide range of activities.
“Both the Sports in the Hood and School’s Out initiatives offer children the chance to try out different sporting activities that will keep them occupied and at the same time help them feel fitter and healthier.”
