Burton Talent on Show This Thursday
The Heart of Burton’s major summer event is almost upon us. ‘Burton’s got Talent’ is planned to take place on Thursday 30 August at the Town Hall. It will consist of over twenty acts, ranging from singers to jugglers, performing live to a local audience.
The idea of holding the event came about from discussions at the Respect steering group, currently a sub group of the Heart of Burton. Chair of Respect Elaine Stokes said ‘the event is a way of celebrating talents across all age ranges and communities within Burton. The Respect campaign looks at how individuals and communities can come together and work to understand cultural differences and be able to respect them in a free and multi cultural environment.’
The event starts at 2.00pm and is free to attend for people who want to watch the performances. There will also be free refreshments and entertainment for children including face painting, balloon modelling and circus skills.
If you want any additional information on the event please feel free to call the Heart of Burton office on freephone 0800 328 6925 or 547036 or come into the office at 73 Horninglow Road, Burton.
