* What’s On in Burton on Trent This Weekend *

As far as I’m aware the events listed below are still going ahead but you may wish to check with the venue before venturing out.

Thursday 7th January

Tonight there’s live country music from Gary Haynes at The Northern Renegades Country Music Club but unfortunately, the event at Burton Jazz Club has been cancelled.

Friday 8th January

Tomorrow night you can see Strawhead perform at The Brewtown Folk Club.

Saturday 9th January

On Saturday, if you feel like braving the great outdoors, there’s a Bird Walk at Blithfield Reservoir as well as a chance to learn Willow Weaving on the Trent washlands with Burton Conservation Volunteers.

In the evening there’s live music from The Junction at The Wetmore Whistle.

Sunday 10th January

On Sunday, there’s more live music at The Wetmore Whistle, this time from Booba Dust.

Cineworld cinema highlights this week include ‘Daybreakers’, ‘It’s Complicated’, ‘Did You Hear About The Morgans?’, ‘Nine’, ‘Sherlock Holmes’, ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: The Squeakquel’, ‘Nowhere Boy’, ‘Avatar 3D’ and ‘St.Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold’.
