* What’s On in Burton This Weekend *

Thursday 22nd October

Tonight at Burton Jazz Club you can see the Bob Wilson Jazz Band and at The Northern Renegades Country Music Club you can see Jim Ryder and Adam James.

Friday 23rd October

Tomorrow night, Dave Fletcher and Bill Whaley are performing at the Brewtown Folk Club and there is an adult-only “high-camp and silly comedy” called Club Class at The Brewhouse.

Saturday 24th October

During the day on Saturday there’s a Mary Queen of Scots Lecture Brunch in Swadlincote, Bird Watching at Claymills and Burton Rugby Club are at home to Nuneaton Old Edwardians.

In the evening there’s live music at The Wetmore Whistle from Little Giants and a Musical Theatre Extravaganza from the Midland Youth Theatre at The Brewhouse.

Sunday 25th October

On Sunday there’s Sunday afternoon live music at The Wetmore Whistle and activities at Branston Water Park including llamas, walking, bird boxes and apple tasting.

Next Week …. and Bonfire Night

Looking ahead to next week and there are a number of kids half-term events on the What’s On page as well as some Halloween events. There’s also details of the musical Mack and Mabel being performed by Burton Operatics from Monday to Saturday.

I will also be adding details of all the Fireworks displays I hear of in the run up to Bonfire night. I’ve added three so far but if you hear of any that I’ve not added, please let me know so I can keep the list up to date.

Cineworld cinema highlights this week include ‘Michael Jackson’s This Is It (opens Wednesday 28th), ’9′, ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’, ‘Saw VI’, ‘Cirque Du Freak’, ‘Couples Retreat’, ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’, ‘Triangle’, ‘UP 3-D’ and ‘Zombieland’.
