* What’s On in Burton This Weekend *

Firstly, tonight, there’s the usual choice of live music with Katie Rhodes performing at the Northern Renegades and Bad Boy Bobby Ludlam and Band (try saying that quickly 5 times!) appearing at Burton Jazz Club. There’s also the chance to join The Runaway Writers at The Brewhouse for an evening of Mince Pies and a Medley of Tales.

Tomorrow night, you can see Radio 1 and MTV’s Trevor Nelson at the UBA Rooms or listen to Mark Robinson perform at the Brew Town Folk Club. Also tomorrow (and on Saturday too), Tutbury Art Group are performing a family panto called Alice in Pantoland (Oh yes they are!).

On Saturday, during the day there is another Derby County book signing and a Bird Walk at Croxall whereas in the evening, the Mayor would like to invite you to her Carol Concert at Burton Town Hall or you may prefer the idea of a one day Christmas Beer Festival at The Devonshire Arms.

Also on Saturday (and Sunday too) Dick Whittington (who seems to be making frequent visits to the town this panto period) can be seen duelling with the evil Captain Blood at Conkers in Moira.

Cineworld cinema highlights this week include ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’, ‘Madagascar’, ‘Escape 2 Africa’, ‘Transporter 3′, and ‘Quantum of Solace’.
