Sports Coaching Courses Available in Burton This Summer
Jul 1st, 2010 | By Chris Towland | Category: Burton StuffEast Staffordshire Borough Council’s, Sports Development team will be delivering both the Level 1 Sports Leaders Award and Level 2 Community Sports Leaders Award, during the summer months.
The level 1 Sports Leaders Award Course is aimed at anyone 14+ who is interested in taking the first steps on to the coaching ladder.
The course is aimed at giving young sports leaders the ability to organise and deliver a short structured sports session for a small group, under the supervision of a qualified Sports Leader, and is a stepping stone onto the Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership.
The Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership is aimed at anyone aged 16+ who is interested in coaching in the community, and is looking to study sport in Higher and Further education.
The Level 2 Award is structured to help develop you knowledge of session planning and delivery, across all ages, and abilities, including the delivery of health and fitness and the organising and structuring of small competitions and tournaments.
Both qualifications are nationally recognised and are a good addition to a CV, alongside enhancing your communication, teamwork and leadership skills through physical activity and sport.
Level 1 Sports Leadership course will be taking place at Shobnall Leisure Complex, Monday, August 2nd to Friday, August 6th, 10.00am to 3.00pm and is £12.
Level 2 Community Sports Leadership course will be taking place at Shobnall Leisure Complex from Monday, July 12th to Friday, July16th, 10.00am to 4.30pm and is £35.
