Free Christmas Parking for Late Night Shoppers in Burton

Late night Christmas shoppers will be able to start their evening even earlier this year as the Council announces its free car parking in the run-up to Christmas.

East Staffordshire Borough Council is offering a festive bonus with free parking on all of its pay and display facilities to help support the late night Christmas shopping in Burton upon Trent.

And this year free parking will be available from 3.00pm to 8.00pm on all of Burton’s Council car parks, giving shoppers and extra two hours to visit the town.

Christmas late night shopping begins on Thursday, November 24th and will carry on every Thursday until Christmas Eve.

Deputy leader for Development and Regeneration, Councillor Robert Hardwick, said: “ESBC recognises the importance of supporting both the retailers and our shoppers on the run up to Christmas, and particularly during this difficult financial climate.

“We want to make it as beneficial as possible for shoppers to come into the town and visit our retailers.”
