Council’s Easter Closing

East Staffordshire Borough Council has announced the opening times for its premises over the Easter period 2010.

The Town Hall and Miller’s Lane offices will be closed from 5.00pm on Thursday, April 1st until 9.00am on Tuesday, April 6th, 2008.

People can still pay Council Tax and Business Rates on the 24/7 phone line – 01283 508223, using the payment on-line system on www.eaststaffsbc.gov.uk or if you have your barcode you can make cash payments at local Post Offices or a listed outlet where they see the pink and blue Payzone signs.

The Customer Service Centres in Market Place, Burton and the Library building, Uttoxeter, will be closed on Friday, April 2nd (Good Friday), open Saturday, April 3rd for normal opening hours, and closed on Monday, April 5th (Easter Monday). They will re-open as normal from Tuesday, April 6th.

The Shopmobility service will be closed on Friday, April 2nd, open 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday, April 3rd and closed Monday, April 5th. It will re-open as normal on Tuesday, April 6th.

The leisure centres (Shobnall and Uttoxeter) will close at 6.00pm on Friday, April 2nd and Monday, April 5th. Otherwise they will be open as normal. Can Meadowside customers who are currently using the Boxing Club during the centre’s refurbishment, please be aware that the club’s closing time will be 5.00pm on these days.

Collections for your household waste and recycling bins will take place as normal. Please see your latest collection calender for details.
