Despite this year’s Council Tax being one of the lowest in recent years, some households may still be struggling to pay.
On Friday March 26th and Wednesday, March 31st, the Council’s Revenues and Benefits team will be holding a surgery in Burton’s Customer Service Centre to talk to anyone who has any concerns over their 10/11 Council Tax bill, or is worried about how they are going to pay it, with a view to maximising any discounts, exemptions or benefit that individual taxpayers may be entitled to.
As well as revenues and benefits specialists available on the day, representatives from the Citizens’ Advice Bureau and Trent & Dove will be available to help with debt enquiries and housing concerns.
No appointments are necessary; simply call into the CSC in Market Place, Burton anytime between 10.00am and 3.00pm.
