Burton on Trent Christmas Waste and Recycling Collections

Households across East Staffordshire should now have received their 2009/10 Waste and Recycling Collection Calendars, including details for collections over the festive period.

During the Christmas and New Year period the refuse and recycling collections in East Staffordshire will change slightly and this year the changes will affect every property within the borough.

There will be no brown bin collections during weeks commencing December 21st, December 28th and January 4th.

The brown bin collections will start again from January 11th. Please check your new collection calendar to find out when your brown bin collection is due.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, the grey refuse bins will be collected weekly.

The recycling collections for the blue bin and blue bag will also change. Please consult your collection calendar to ensure that the correct coloured bins are presented on the correct days.

Please note that no side waste will be collected. Additional waste can be taken to the household waste site on Shobnall Road, Burton upon Trent or Pennycroft Lane, Uttoxeter.

Please ensure that all refuse and recycling containers are out by 6.30am on collection day and removed from the pavement as soon as possible after collection.
