In March 2012 East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Sports Development organised the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile, hosted at Shobnall Leisure Complex in Burton on Trent

Over 500 people registered and completed either 1, 3 or 6 miles around the leisure complex in aid of the Charity. In true Sport Relief style many runners came in fancy dress and enjoyed the afternoon.
Final figures have been calculated by Sport Relief and a total of £8271.96 was raised at the East Staffordshire event. Neil Brown, Sports Development – Team Leader would like to thank all those who took part and raising so much money for Sport Relief.
